WHAT WE OFFER
Sol Food is here to make eating healthy, locally sourced, organic food easier. We offer fully prepared frozen meals, snacks and desserts for anyone from busy students to families in Boulder, CO. Our menu will change seasonally, as we continue to source ingredients available locally. We also stock a variety of products from our local partners Daydream Dessert and Mystic Jun to create a one stop shop for you to take advantage of the great products our community has to offer!
HOW IT WORKS
Come and visit our stand at the Boulder Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 4-8 and Saturdays from 8-2. We also offer an online shop with free delivery in Boulder. Products are ordered on our website and will be delivered to your house, school or office or picked up at our kitchen in Boulder. We will coordinate drop off location, time and instructions. We currently only deliver within Boulder County. For delivery, there is a minimum order of $25. Alternatively, you can come by our kitchen on Walnut St. and we will deliver your order to your car door!
WHO WE ARE
We are passionate about creating (and eating!) delicious meals that are healthy, supportive of local food systems, and make you feel good. We hope to provide the community with easy, any night meals that do not compromise on nutrition, comfort or flavor.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Emma moved to Boulder in 2015 to open her first business venture, Emmapie's Kitchen. She sold prepared meals, baked goods and desserts at the Boulder County Farmer's Market, before focusing her efforts solely on vegan desserts. She then began business operating as Daydream Dessert Co. which is now in it's third year of production. Daydream Dessert products are sold nation wide in many grocery stores, juice and coffee shops, small markets, and online via their website. Emma studied Nutrition at Penn State and worked in the food industry for many years. She has a strong passion of eating good food, supporting local and sustainable food systems, and hopes her businesses create positive effects that are good for the earth and make people happy and healthy.
Katie was raised in New Jersey and New York, and moved to Boulder in 2014. Katie currently does recipe development and production for Daydream Dessert Co. and Sol Food. In 2016 she graduated from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver with a certification as a Natural Foods Chef. Shortly thereafter, she began assisting Emma with Daydream Dessert Co. and together they decided to launch Sol Food. She is passionate about the local food community, and interested in the connection between what we eat and our emotional, physical and mental wellbeing. She loves to create vibrant, delicious meals, using methods to optimize nutrition and health benefits.
